This extension is in beta and is only intended for testing.
You may run into rough edges — the auto-process pipeline can fail on sites the scraper doesn't recognize, the AI classification can pick the wrong category, and on Firefox the temporary add-on has to be re-loaded each time the browser restarts. If something breaks, please note the site URL and what happened and send it back to us — your reports directly shape the next release. The Chrome Web Store / Firefox Add-ons listings are not yet available, so this zip is the only install path.
Install the JobFoocus extension
One click on any job posting sends the title, company, and description straight into a new application workspace on your dashboard.
Quick install (recommended)
Detected browser: your browser. Download the packaged extension below, then follow the two-step load instructions for your browser.
Supported browsers
Chrome-based (Chromium)
Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi, and any other Chromium-based browser. The install steps below are identical for all of them.
Firefox
Firefox uses a different install flow (Load Temporary Add-on). The same zip works — the steps below switch automatically based on your detected browser.
After downloading: double-click the .zip to extract it. You'll get a folder containing manifest.json — that folder is the extension. Chrome / Edge / Brave will not install the .zip directly, which is the "extension appears corrupted" error you may see if you try.
- Open
chrome://extensions(usebrave://extensionsorarc://extensionsetc. for other Chromium browsers — same steps below) - Enable Developer mode (top-right toggle)
- Click Load unpacked and select the extracted extension folder (not the .zip)
Or install manually
~2 minutesOpen the extensions page
Type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter. (For Brave, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi, etc. — replace `chrome` with your browser name: `brave://extensions`, `arc://extensions`, etc. The rest of the steps are identical.)
Open chrome://extensionsEnable Developer mode
Toggle the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner of the page. (On Brave, Arc, Opera, etc. it's in the same place — the toggle is in every Chromium extensions page.)
Click "Load unpacked"
A file picker opens. Select the extracted extension folder (the one containing manifest.json) — not the .zip itself.
Pin the extension
Click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser toolbar, then click the pin icon next to "JobFoocus".
Try it on a job posting
Navigate to any job posting (LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, etc.) and click the JobFoocus toolbar icon. The dashboard opens with the job title, company, and description pre-filled.
How it works
- The extension only reads the current page when you click its toolbar icon — it never runs in the background and never collects data passively.
- On click, it sends the page URL, title, company, and description to your JobFoocus dashboard via deep-link query parameters.
- If the page doesn't look like a job posting, the dashboard opens empty with a warning so you can paste the JD manually.
